Thursday, December 7, 2023 - Really very nice wine; lovely balance considering the warmth and drought of the '18 vintage; lovely fruit that shows plum, currant, black cherry with some anise, spice, damp soil, violet. The palate has nice fruit and while there is structure the tannins are well integrated and there is enough acidity and fruit that they are well buffered. Certainly no rush to drink, but it is drinking well now and the fruit is quite nice.
