Thursday, September 1, 2022 - Not a remarkable QPR wine, but not offensive. Pale ruby in the glass with fresh red and blue fruits on the nose. A little bit of bite from presumed “efficient” oak aging. Palate is a bit sharp/harsh with medicinal cherry. Balance is a bit disjointed. Medium finish. This is not a bad wine for how mass produced it is.
For a few more dollars, I’d recommend tracking down a bottle of Rodney Strong, Jadot, or Au Bon Climat. Though this wine does mellow out after an hour or so of air exposure
