Thursday, March 7, 2024 - Man, I thought the 2019 Cantemerle was "the best Cantemerle ever...." Until I tried the 2020 Cantemerle! The 2020 Cantemerle is gorgeous, much different styled from the 2019, richer with more upfront fruit. The 2019 is more classic and reserved. They are obviously at different stages of evolution. The 2020 is lush, aromatic, but still very true to its terroir. Like the 2019, it is 13.5% alcohol. Distinctive rich ruby/purple color, violets, I bought 12 more bottles of the 2019 Cantemerle and last night ordered 12 more bottles of the 2020 Cantemerle. I logged the 2019 in at 95 points, I rate this 2020 at 95+.
