Sunday, August 14, 2011 - A very rich nose with nougat, a touch of minerality and ripe apple. Surprisingly, this is not as big on the palate as you would expect after such a powerful nose. Still showing the richness of the vintage but the acidity saves the day. Delicious and I don't think this is a Champagne for the long term as I would fear to lose the acidity. This was actually perfect with our shrimp dish.
