90 Points

Saturday, April 3, 2010 - Had for dinner at the Town House Grill in SWVA. Double decanted for 2 hours and consumed over 2 hours. Nose of mixed raspberries, graphite, forest soil, smoke. Palate of mixed raspberries, licorice, graphite, herbs, spice. The finish was above average in length and the balance of the wine was good. The front and mid palate of the wine became more open as the night progressed, but the back end still was shut down with the heavy tannin/acidity. The tannins were also a little bitter, but that should improve with time. Good qpr. Hold. 50+5+11+16+8
