Similar to my last tasting note. Nose of fresh bright fruit with integrated tannins. Silky in the mouth, medium weight, with a moderate length finish. Lovely wine.

Lovely nose, animale, liquorice, herbs, deep fruit, very fresh. Touch of oak perhaps from the new foudres?*. Mid-weight for Tempier, round but elegant. Tannins nicely integrated into the rich fresh blueberry fruit. Smooth. Finishes dry with appetising acidity. For sheer deliciousness and ageability is there a better value wine than this in the world?
*Daniel Ravier replaced several of the older ones when he arrived in 2000 and there was undoubtedly an impact on some of the wines, particularly in the weaker 02 vintage. I’m doubtful the effect would still have been noticeable in 2005, so I may be imagining this.

So good now the tannins have softened but still has had that dark bramble fruit to make this pure joy.

A gem - well put-together. At a really good place - glad I held onto this one for a few years!

Drinking very well now.. balanced & well developed. Could improve a little more thru 4-5 next years. Excellent with beef.
