Sunday, May 27, 2018 - Difficult not to like this splendid wine. Nose is assertive, with garrigue and maybe thyme or lavender or rosemary, and some nice juicy fruit at its heart. The best thing is the body - weighty and fresh at the same time - a rare balance. Some very pleasant fruit sensations (cherries and wild strawberries) and a fantastic minerality, and then a long finish that evolves on the tongue with more spice - cloves and nutmeg. Splendid. Years left in this, and it's already 13 years old.
