Saturday, March 11, 2023 - 90 minute decant and returned to the bottle to be transported to a restaurant. The wine was paired with a grilled pork chop and long hot peppers. Grassl Cru stems were brough to the restaurant.

The aromas were of red and darker fruits with brown spices. The palate was primary with red cherry, boysenberry and black cherry. There was some baking spices and light earth tones. There was medium(+) acidity and delicate tannins. The wine was a full-bodied pinot noir.

There isnt great complexity but it's a pleasure to drink if you aren't looking for a burgundian style, as this is a full-bodied Northern CA pinot.

It's drinking well now with a good decant and may score a little bit higher with short-term to mid-term cellaring.
