Wednesday, August 11, 2021 - Catalan Old World vs New World Wine Dinner (Catalan Tapas Bar (Cary NC)): Served with the first course, squaring off against the new world Crawford Family Albarino out of sunny CA (check the story for notes about the dish and pairing). Saline, lemon zest and some grassy notes with hints of pear. Textbook Albarino acidity. A bit more complex than I was expecting, picked up a few bottles sub-$20; I see no issue with an A- (90) evaluation.
