Sunday, September 4, 2022 - Cork in terrific shape with only a 3/8 inch run. Fill to above the neck. Barnyard fnose appeared initially but quickly evolving to typical Bordeaux nose of damp forest floor and especially cedar. Not much fruit on the nose but there is complex red fruit on the palate supported by sweet fully resolved tannins. Silky mouth feel and a 30 second finish peaking at 2 hours open. Fruit is plummy. Some hints of chocolate and matches well with dark chocolate. Lovely wine.
