Tuesday, July 21, 2015 - 2005 Giacomo Conterno Barnera d' Alba Casina Erancia - Serralunga d'Alba

Decantet. First glas right away.

Deep dark red color, towards black in senter. Clear and clean.

Nose aromas show dark berries, smoke and tart. Cherries. Vanilla? Wood and smoke from the fireplace. Ashtray. Dark spices.

Stunning smooth on the palet, rounded and full bodied. Beef, tart and smoth integrated tannins.
This wine is mouthwatering. It wonderfully well balanced and has loads of layeras. Komplex and ritch in tast. Long.

After 3-4 hours this shows a great open sweetnes, with ripe fruits and berries. Over all ripe cherries and dark spices.
