Thursday, January 11, 2024 - Plus 60 minutes in chilled in decanter; just opening. More pleasingly aromatic when well chilled; just ripe honeydew melon, suggestive of light milk infused with fresh mint. Warms quickly in the glass to become a sharpish savoury melon on the palette with a dry prickly mouth feel.

Plus 120 minutes: little further opening or change. A little softer, and sharpness has yielded to unveil a suggestion of ceader on the rear under-tongue.

Overall: reluctant, strained and veiled. Another two/three years required before satisfying as a meal or guest accompanyment, but was interesting to try at this time.

Drunk with hard Wenslydale cheese and moist delicate loin of pork, but the wine drunk as an alone component. No where near open sufficient to hold itself as an accoumpanyment to food.
