Saturday, February 8, 2014 - Pungent nose of ripe cherry and strawberry, tobacco leaf, leather and prunes. Fairly light body but good concentration of ripe, sour cherry, leather, earth and spice. Good acidity. The finish is medium length, with some tannic bite and lingering sour cherry notes. This wasn't a stellar Burgundy vintage, and especially not a great year for the Baby Jesus. It's drinking well, and is still an enjoyable, interesting bottle. But it's on its decline and is not going to improve any further.
