Saturday, June 28, 2014 - At Jade Palace over a blinded Gevrey vs MSD Grand Cru theme. Colour was a beautiful ruby red, looking very vibrant and pure. Nose was very minerally, with a sweet perfume. Pure and elegant. Palate was fresh, clean, with wild strawberries, rose petals and violets. (Where is the MSD profile?) Make no mistake, this is an elegant wine, with lovely finesse and purity, but for all the fuss from the rest of the group, I struggled to find a more structured, meaty and dense wine and the complexity seemed to be absent as well. Nonetheless, an enjoyable bottle.
