92 Points

Wednesday, April 17, 2024 - Coravin. Pale ruby color, very slight bricking common in young nebbiolo; aromatic, red fruited, red currant, florals, very elegant; palate is light bodied, fabulously youthful and fresh red fruits, very high and youthful tannin, high 14.5% alcohol (noticeable but not out of place for a warmer year), nice persistence of flavor through the midpalate; medium-plus length finish with nice complexity. An excellent barolo from a warm year, showing all the elegance and red-fruitedness that I expect from this vineyard. Obviously youthful and will evolve nicely over the medium term. 92+, potential for more if the alcohol integrates well.
Over a few hours, this integrates well especially with the tannins. The alcohol is just a touch high but starting to integrate as well.
