We did not decant this bottle, and it was only the last glass or so that really showed the full potential. Early on it was largely acid-driven, but after an hour or so the depth of the fruit became more apparent. It never got to the swirling vortex level that some of these wines reach, but that was probably because it just didn’t have enough time to wake up.
