Saturday, May 5, 2018 - Alex's Birthday Party (Yan's China Bistro, Walnut Creek, Ca.): From a magnum with a nose of briar, tar, black cherry, black berry, candied fruit, and wood, same on the palate, big body, elegant, at its best, drink up, mouth filling fruit, rich fruit, no sign of tannins, easy to sip and savor, and a long finish.
