Thursday, July 8, 2021 - Cork slipped out easily with an ah-so, coated red all the way to the top. But the wine smelled delicious with only a slight amount of funk which quickly evaporated to leave cedar and berry notes. Beautiful orange tinted ruby appearance and sexy thick legs. Wonderful mature wine still exhibiting red berry flavors, decent acidity and a beautiful long but very subtle finish on the rear and mid palate. Fully resolved and almost sweet okay tannins. Probability the best 1982 Napa cab I have had in a long time, recognizing that it was not a great California vintage as opposed to Bordeaux. Had a sirloin steak for dinner plus chocolate coated croissant and a Godiva chocolate dessert to match it. Nice!
