Saturday, May 27, 2023 - A super cool collaboration between Stefan Steinmetz and Paul Weltner, this Scheurebe is wild, leaning towards natural, and beautiful.
Though this wine is technically dry, the exotic fruit character adds tons of depth, richness and fun. The absolutely fantastic nose is perfumed and floral making it hard to pull your nose away from the glass.
The palate is like pear cider that was infused with ginger. The fruit is ripe, but there is a great drying note and texture that I am sure comes from the extended macerated skin contact.
Such a fun wine made by two friends living and working from different regions and coming together to do something different and delicious.
