92 Points

Monday, September 5, 2022 - I imagine a solid example showing the 2019 nebbiolo vintage's strength of ageable, well structured wines with cooler fruit with slightly lower alcohols. Soft nose of sweet rosewood and red flowers. Translucent bright raspberry red color, with pure raspberry and cherry, fleeting pine sap, med+ acids, 14% alc, modest fine drying tannin, med finish. Very elegant and fresh. On day 3, the acids are softer and the simple vivid red fruit profile becomes infused with vivid rose petals (giving, I think, a sense on how the wine will pick up complexity over time). 91-92

If not, in my opinion you are not able to taste the complexity in the wine, which is an important factor for quality.
Without your nose you would never score a wine higher than 87 points in your system.
We agree that this is a great wine. It is a 92 points for sure. For us it was the number 2 at Barbaresco a Tavola 2022!
We also like the Barolo Dardi delle Rose. Great producer.

At a recent tasting (the Jamet story) I learned that I may not have a sense of smell out of one of my nostrils. But smelling out of two nostrils was still a different experience than smelling just out of the other nostril.
