  • Opened 3 hours in advance. Elegant and quiet fruity in the expression. Medium+ acidity and tannin, both surprisingly well integrated all ready. It delivers menthol, roses, lots of strawberries, some sour cherries and a little forrest floor. With the air, it presents itself great and the balance is very good. Semi long aftertaste and good depth. Clearly a light and elegant style of Nebbiolo, but with the structure to last for quite a while.

  • A tester bottle to decide whether or not to buy more, since I had missed the opportunity to taste this at the winery. Decanted 30 minutes. Translucent pale red. An expressive but slightly muddled nose mixing florals with a lot of powdery balsamic notes. Lively on the palate, bright and fresh. Full of flavor and drive. Juicy but no exaggeration to the fruit's ripeness. Grippy tannins but they are not dry. Unfurling slowly still in the glass, revealing an unexpected power for a Barbaresco and huge length on the finish that gives the back end of this wine a lot of presence. Serious Barbaresco, needing a lot of time. I will buy more.....

  • I imagine a solid example showing the 2019 nebbiolo vintage's strength of ageable, well structured wines with cooler fruit with slightly lower alcohols. Soft nose of sweet rosewood and red flowers. Translucent bright raspberry red color, with pure raspberry and cherry, fleeting pine sap, med+ acids, 14% alc, modest fine drying tannin, med finish. Very elegant and fresh. On day 3, the acids are softer and the simple vivid red fruit profile becomes infused with vivid rose petals (giving, I think, a sense on how the wine will pick up complexity over time). 91-92
