Thursday, February 29, 2024 - A tester bottle to decide whether or not to buy more, since I had missed the opportunity to taste this at the winery. Decanted 30 minutes. Translucent pale red. An expressive but slightly muddled nose mixing florals with a lot of powdery balsamic notes. Lively on the palate, bright and fresh. Full of flavor and drive. Juicy but no exaggeration to the fruit's ripeness. Grippy tannins but they are not dry. Unfurling slowly still in the glass, revealing an unexpected power for a Barbaresco and huge length on the finish that gives the back end of this wine a lot of presence. Serious Barbaresco, needing a lot of time. I will buy more.....
