Wednesday, September 6, 2023 - Had this in a blind tasting with Bourgogne-like whites, by rng only New World wines. This was by far the wine that got closest to Bourgogne, although I guessed Chardonnay / Rhône varietals blend from South Africa, so something stood out I suppose. Slightly buttery, slightly oily with tropical fruit, a saline hint and just a soupçon of smoke. Very long. This is probably a bit more oak than I purchase personally, but I really like it. It’s a nice wine. It was shared wotn of the tasting.
