Had this in a blind tasting with Bourgogne-like whites, by rng only New World wines. This was by far the wine that got closest to Bourgogne, although I guessed Chardonnay / Rhône varietals blend from South Africa, so something stood out I suppose. Slightly buttery, slightly oily with tropical fruit, a saline hint and just a soupçon of smoke. Very long. This is probably a bit more oak than I purchase personally, but I really like it. It’s a nice wine. It was shared wotn of the tasting.

Light yellow straw color, slightly musty aroma with hints of citrus and melon,, medium-bodied, rounded edges. Pleasing mouthfeel, enjoyable, more interesting than a simple quaff yet very hard to pin down in terms of geography nor others specifics.

youthful yellow rim with moderate depth of color. on the nose it is dominated by new french oak... albeit really nice oak. lurking behind that are some fruit aromas, neutralish apple and citrus. on the palate high acids, firmish middle weight midpalate, firm at the end with low to moderate alcohol. firmish white balance wise with good length and loads of intensity... not much complexity. i'd sit on these for a while and see what happens... like the concept and the quality of the oak... be curious to see how this wine comes together (or doesn't) with age.

tart fruit in the aroma and palate. notes of chlorophyll and unripe durian (as it tastes!), Erinnerung of Muscadine
unctuous (oily before butter) chardonnay with waxy/buttery mouthfeel and a tinge of iron minerality.
pair with charred vegetables (cabbage, carrots) mustard sauces, pork ribs
