Wednesday, November 3, 2021 - Charleston VI; 11/3/2021-11/7/2021 (Charleston, SC (various locations)): Ok my fellow CT brethren I think I need to disagree with what I understand is the more common advice being given on this wine. This is not a pnp, drink fast, will die in 2 hours. At least not the bottle we had which was basically pristine. In retrospect I wish we'd decanted it. This got better and better over 3.5 hours of drinking. It's black fruits and bright and young. Much better than the bottle we had a few years ago. Very pretty.

11/4/2021 7:37:00 PM - Totally agree with you! Over my 40+years drinking and collecting wine there have been but a handful of great older wines (like Bordeaux, Burgundy, old school Cali Cab, Barolo, etc) that didn’t need decanting and were better off for it. In fact the massive number of wines that I would have not fully appreciated because the bottle was finished long before the wine peaked would be staggering had I listened to much popular and pro advice to PnP and drink quickly. 98% of the time that is just plain wrong!

    Cheers!
