Saturday, December 26, 2020 - This was an absolutely glorious bottle of champagne opened for a fabulous occasion. This was markedly evolved from my previous tasting note. Again I'll briefly mention storage which might be a factor.. I wouldn't say my bottle was at full maturity but it was certainly displaying mature notes which were very special. The thing I love about Pol Roger Sir Winston Churchill is the fizz. Its absolutely fantastic. Very strong and powerful and lasts an age on my palate. Rhis os something I love. Unbeatable! Strong and powerful initial mouth feel for me makes me know its something very special, followed by a dry and mature mid palate then a beautiful finish. Wow what a bottle!
