Wednesday, January 3, 2024 - The wine presents itself as medium dark (not opaque). On the nose I get cherry fruit and a grapey jam aromatic. Not much depth aromatically IMHO. In mouth the wine is fruity with softness imparted by the wood barrel aging. The wood flavor continues into the mid palette with fruit where flavors of licorice and spice become predominant. The wine is alive and changing. Jammy wine and just ok.
