Saturday, September 16, 2023 - Pretty cool wine! Really brings a lot of thunder to the glass for a super reasonable price. Black olive, roofing tar, peppercorn, and all things black right off the bat. It's slowly unfurls into purple flowers, plum, five spice powder, hoisin sauce, and even a little pine nut.
It definitely smells like an ultra premium wine but the only place it shows a little crack in the armor is on the mid palate. It's a little hollow, and lacks the type of commanding flavor profile that I'm hoping for when a wine smells like this. But for the price, I'm definitely not complaining!
