Saturday, November 19, 2011 - Thought this was quite nice. Strong nose, but not much fruit in it; more like brambles, cut grass and peppers. Nice dark color, as one would expect from a Petite Sirah. Lots of dark fruit, blackberries, blueberries, and spicy notes. A little short on the finish. Did not detect the harshness others have mentioned. This is ready to drink and will hold for several years. All in all, a nice representation of this varietal and very reasonably priced. Not a stunner, but a well-crafted and tasty wine. Good value.
