Saturday, March 9, 2024 - A very dark showcase of cabernet franc. Plum, tobacco, violet, vanilla, blackberry and mild oak come together for a deep exploration of aroma and flavour married in stupendous balance. It's almost completely barren of the varietal's pyrazine flare, yet still full-bodied and wonderfully structured with tannins that grip the sides while keeping it smooth down the middle. Complex, nicely acidic and with a long finish that brings the floral notes upwards, this Mendoza gem is a treat.
