Monday, February 6, 2023 - 2023 Napa; 2/5/2023-2/9/2023 (Napa with a connection in Houston): Pop and pour, mix of Houyi/Greer/Mould, soft edges, mix of red and black fruit, went well with steak & frites. I think this will drink well younger and be a go to choice while waiting on the flagship. That being said, I’ll lay mine down for a few years in any event. 92 for now, upside to mid 90s for my palate in due time.

3/4/2023 2:22:00 PM - I think people will be in for a surprise as to how long this wine ages. Starting around 2016 I began to give my wines more extended maceration and this has made them a little more approachable up front. The 60th is in its baby fat stage but I notice more and more tannin the longer a bottle is open, which usually means it might start tightening up over the next year or two. We will see!
