Saturday, March 2, 2024 - Assessing 2021 Burgundy-La Paulée de Los Angeles Grand Tasting (Fairmont Miramar, Santa Monica): Light red. Gorgeous, fragrant spice, cut flowers, and red berries. Lighter weight. Subtly sweet red cherry, smoke, some sap, long soil base, and moderately tannic. Lovely wine that is so different than the monumental, dense 2020 but also well worth buying. Revisit in 5 years and beyond.
