Sunday, October 23, 2011 - Brought to my wine group's annual white truffle dinner. Served with roasted sea bass, sauce americain (lobster) and covered with white truffles. Bought this recently from a reputable wine shop on sale for $ 25.00, but otherwise unsure of the provenance. A beautiful wine. Light golden in color with hints of orange. A little must on the nose that blew off in time to reveal apple and minerals. All 6 at the table were amazed at the palate which several considered to be very burgundian. Somewhat big, but balanced and delicious blend of steeliness and minerals with hints of lemon and apple. Long beautiful finish. Just remarkable for a 19 year old CA chard.
