Friday, September 15, 2023 - 2021 Bachelet-Monnot tasting (K&L Wine Merchant - Redwood City): Rustic and earthy funk on the nose, with small red berries (if blueberries had red flesh and a bit of the red fleshed characteristics).

Silvery and almost metallic minerals on the palate. Juicy cranberries but more on the drier spectrum. Earth on the finish with a firm but soft bitterness. A bit of heat on the finish on the finish as well.

Damn.. heat on a lighter body wine really flairs on the finish.
