Monday, April 15, 2024 - Bordeaux 2004 20 years on Part 2 (Hawksmoor Guildhall): Fine mousse, fine bubbles, apple on the nose, and then very pleasant fizzy lemon and biscuit notes. If I was asked what champagne was like I would present this, it's a hugely dependable cuvée. First I've tried of the 244, having been through some 242 and 243. This probably needs a little more time (2019 base) to really get going but there is nothing stopping you drinking it now if you've run out of the others.
