Compared to the 2018, this much closer reflects the stated ethos that this label can compare to fine Bordeaux. This is a very structured wine, with fairly dry red berry fruit and plenty of cedar. It is certainly well made, and not unenjoyable. More so than the 2018 I expect this will develop reasonably in the mid term. Nevertheless, I am not sure it really justifies the price (>€40). It is impressive to produce a Corbieres which can resemble Bdx, but why not simply make a good Bdx? And with climate change even that will surely get more difficult, let alone mimicking it in Corbieres!
