  • This was apparently the last vintage of this label if I understand correctly, and represents an hommage to Yves Barsalou. 1,700 bottles produced. Compared to the 2018, this much closer reflects the stated ethos that this label can compare to fine Bordeaux. This is a very structured wine, with fairly dry red berry fruit and plenty of cedar. It is certainly well made, and not unenjoyable. More so than the 2018 I expect this will develop reasonably in the mid term. Nevertheless, I am not sure it really justifies the price (>€40). It is impressive to produce a Corbieres which can resemble Bdx, but why not simply make a good Bdx? And with climate change even that will surely get more difficult, let alone mimicking it in Corbieres!
