Thursday, September 5, 2013 - Bright yellow colour, intensive mousse. Noticeably bready and smoky on the nose with ripe yellow fruit, some toasted hazelnuts and a hint of honey. Medium bodied (+), palate with yellow apple, citrus, some yellow plum, some honey, good acidity, some mineral, a hint of spice. Quite mature notes for a recently purchased "standard" Champagne - the high proportion of reserve wines really shines through - a big nose and a foody style. Basically one size bigger than almost all of its peers. Ready to drink.
This bottle marked as cellared in 2008 and disgorged in 2011.
