2021 Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon

Community Tasting Note

Does not like this wine:

Saturday, October 21, 2023 - Cracking the whip; 10/16/2023-10/23/2023 (Eagan, MN): N: Ripe red fruits but a buoyant and lofty artificial note, quite pronounced. The aromas would’ve been so much better without it.

P: Black and purple fruits, has a nice push of lushness, earthiness and oak. The finish has a lift of oak, and a roundhouse of alcohol. Odd contrast of dark fruit and some sort of high-toned treatment on the finish.

10/30/2023 6:51:00 PM - Completely manipulated wines from Caymus now. Quit buying in 2012. There is no Wagner Family wine I would buy.
