Monday, August 29, 2011 - Yeah, fairly grapey and one-dimensional, albeit best I recall bolstered by decent acidity and with an appealingly soft smooth midweight mouthfeel. I thought it *was* like the few other Petite Sirahs in my past and that this grape is not interesting to me as a straight-up varietal wine. Maybe it was more interesting a few years ago, and/or in years ahead - I've heard that about PS (but lack the experience to evaluate), either young or with considerable (15-20+ years) age. but in between lies an extended awkward adolescence.
