Thursday, November 11, 2021 - Perfect storage at the Wine Society and nice clean perfect cork. Some maturity / tertiary notes on the nose. Something Burgundy-esque about it too or maybe that’s just because I am far more likely to drink mature Burgundy than CdP. Didn’t really stand up to a spicy beef stew, far too light but at least the lack of tannin and oak didn’t clash with the spice.
After the main this is delightful. Light with red fruits and some forest floor. Blind I would have guessed Burgundy. This is lovely. Complex, dainty, nice acidity, great combination of fruit and maturity.
