Friday, March 29, 2013 - Popped and poured and thought, oh no. First impression on the nose was a bit of volatile acidity followed by loamy earth. But it evolved in the glass, and by my second helping of moroccan lamb with preserved lemons, it had become a quite charming and friendly wine, with flowers and vanilla on the nose, red fruit on the palate and an excellent, though medium-length finish. The ingredients aren't fully integrated--and at 15% it's a bit hot--but it starts to sing a bit. At $27 I'm happy with the QPR.
