Thursday, August 13, 2015 - Somewhat stubborn, this wine is finally softening a bit. Not very inspiring old Pinot nose, some old roses and creosote. In the mouth, a nice dollop of sweetness (2005 was a good, ripe vintage) makes an otherwise austere wine much friendlier. No need to hurry, will mellow down a bit more with some cellar time.
