2007 Clos Floridene Blanc

Community Tasting Note

Likes this wine:

Friday, January 15, 2021 - 12.5% alcohol. Sem 55%, Sauv 44%, Muscadelle 1%. Very good cork with good elasticity. The colour is sustained gold.
The nose is rich with yellow flowers (including gorse), yellow fruit and lanolin. The mouth follows suit with matching flavours and it adds substantial refreshing acidity in the finish; good length. Very harmonious, and a great match for pan fried turbot.
In terms of refinement and enjoyment, I would put this wine at the same level as a good Village from the Côte de Beaune; the price difference is just astounding (it pays to have contrarian tastes).
A repeat purchase (notwithstanding the previous oxidised bottle).
