Wednesday, April 26, 2023 - Difficult vintage with wet and damp summer made this Troplong-Mondot a dark, smoky and earthy beast. A blend of 90% Merlot, 5% CS and 5% CF. Aged for 24 months in 75% new oak barrels. Deep ruby, garnet hue. Intense complex aroma of cherries, smoke, blackberry liqueur, smoky plums, graphite, medicinal notes, cassis, cold cuts, leather. Full body, powerful and textured with a delicate elegance twist, expressive layered flavours of juicy and smoky black fruits, earthy cassis hints, rich fine tannins, long finish.
