Friday, November 10, 2017 - The nose was remarkably pretty, while remaining intensely red-fruited with crushed raspberry, sweet herbs, tobacco, loamy dark soil and cedar. Hints of raw meat and beef's blood came forward over time lending a savory note, yet never getting in the way. On the palate, I found velvety textures offset by a mix of black fruit, brisk acids and spice, with hints of savory herbs and pepper. It finished fresh for it's age with lingering spice and hints of tobacco.
