95 Points

Monday, September 10, 2018 - Great sweet wine. I love Kracher's TBAs (my favorite: Scheurebe) due to their complex aromas and the high acidity keeping the sweetness in check. This wine was no exception, although not as fresh as some younger vintages. Nevertheless, great for one or two small glasses.

TN: Nose a bit muted at first, opening up a little but clearly lacking the sensation of the palate and finish where you get quince, apricots, lemons, lots of tropical fruit, honey, some cranberries. Luscious wine, with a very high acidity keeping this full-bodied, mouthcoating wine in balance and keeping it light. Very precise, complex and deep and a long finish.

Decanting: No decant needed. There is enough acidity left for 10+ years.
