85 Points

Sunday, January 18, 2009 - Popped and poured at 12 C. Pale yellow with some green reflections, somewhat translucent. On the nose some burnt alcohol notes, honeyed flowers and wood. Slow attack, building through a nice mid-palate of wood notes and white flowers, but with some heat and alcohol that unfortunately throws the finish out of balance. There is alot of acidity here and the balance is simply not there. Still, for the price (11 francs), there is a refreshing, complex viognier that punches well above its weight. 50+4+11+14+6=85.
