Thursday, July 3, 2008 - 13.6% alcohol. Quite a nice surprise. No hints of age. Opaque purple-tinged red color still. Fragrant bouquet of black currant and tobacco, with a touch of spiciness. Round and really quite elegant in the mouth. Packed with plenty of fruit, well-balanced, and a nice touch of acidity to cut the slight fatness of the earthiness. Still somewhat tannic on the finish, which is moderate in length. Really rather tasty.
