Wednesday, February 11, 2009 - Classic N Rhone profile, with the concentration and structure to age medium term. It was good last night with about an hour of air. Lots of pepper. A little smoked meat. Touch of vanilla, not very noticeable. Good value in these days of $30+ bottles of St Joseph.

edit to add: the wine is much better the next day, more open with quite a bit more dark berry, brambly fruit, and not as much tense structure. Decant or keep in the cellar for now.
